Safeguarding Procedures

We all have a statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, and at Lactation Motivation we take this responsibility seriously.

If you have any concerns about a child or young person whilst at Motivation Monday, you must share this information immediately with the group leader or lactation consultant.

Do not think that your worry is insignificant if it is about behaviour, appearance or hygiene – we would rather you told us as we would rather know about something that appears small than miss a worrying situation.

If you think the matter is serious and may be related to child protection, for example, physical, emotional, sexual abuse or neglect, we will support you to contact the Norfolk Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub on TEL: 0344 800 8020 regarding your concern. They will ask you to disclose your concerns and take a few details from you. This may be a daunting experience however it is very important and the designated professionals detailed below will support you whilst you make this call and support you afterwards. Prior to giving any individuals details to social services we will support you to raise your concerns with the parent. However, DO NOT speak to the parents if it will place anyone at risk or if it will lead to delay in making the phone call to social care.

Additionally any allegations concerning a member of the team should also be reported to one of the designated professionals immediately.

The people you should talk to at Motivation Monday are:
